What editors say about me |
|
| I've been pleased with Al Hattal's work with myBusiness magazine. He's developed interesting story ideas that go beyond the obvious and been willing to work with me in refining a story. He's always met his deadlines and submits clean copy. |

--Jacklyn P. Boyce, Managing Editor |
| Alvin M. Hattal wrote a monthly column, "Washington Report," for Chemical Processing magazine for more than four years, 1994 - 1998, from the nation's capital. His columns and occasional feature articles, in which he reported and analyzed the impact of legislative and regulatory activities on our industry, were consistently well researched and written. They rarely required editing or revision and were highly regarded by our readers. |

--Adam Leyland, Editor-in-Chief |
| You did a splendid job, again, with the Microsoft and Costco stories, Al. Always a pleasure working with you. You're a trooper, to say the least. |
|
--Eric Arnold, Campaigns Editor, PR Week |
| Al Hattal wrote some excellent pieces for PR Week magazine when I was the features editor there in 1998 and 1999. Among his work were several profiles and market overviews featuring detailed description of PR firms in the greater Los Angeles area. He also wrote breaking news stories and filed detailed case histories, which appeared in the "Campaigns" section I edited. Al is a good writer and researcher who delivers stories on time. He has good PR and marketing contacts and is an expert on promotion and marketing as well. |
|
--Susan Bovet, Features Editor |
| As contributing editor for PR News for more than a year, Al Hattal provided many insightful feature articles. All were well researched and crisply written. There are many business writers in the marketplace. Only a minority are good writers. Al is clearly in that minority. Contact me if you have any questions about my experience with him. |

| I was editor of Trend Letter, a weekly newsletter covering news and trends in marketing for five years. Writing for us as a contributing editor for more than a year, Al Hattal provided many insightful feature reports. |

--Leah Thayer, Write Clique |
| You did a great job on the Yellow Pages story. It very often takes people six months before they can untangle the intricacies and relationships of Yellow Pages, AT&T, Cunningham and Walsh, independent companies, etc. You did it in a couple of days. You probably don't realize what a great trick you performed. It was a very lucid and clear description of a very complicated subject, and I want to express my appreciation for the care you took to not only get the facts right, but also to represent them clearly. |
|
--John H. Leonard, Vice President, BBD&O |
| Just wanted you to know how much all of us here enjoyed the fine piece you did on Contadina. You did a masterful job of presenting the story, and we all appreciate your patience in ferreting out the facts. |
